Visit us
Our office is at D12-08, Menara Mitraland, Jalan PJU 5/1, Kota Damansara, 47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm. If you would like to meet in person, message us first so we can set a time that works.
We work with companies in Kota Damansara and Petaling Jaya, across the Klang Valley and Selangor, and — because almost everything a company secretary does can be handled digitally through MyCoID and MBRS — throughout Malaysia. Distance from our office is rarely a reason not to write.
What to have ready
- Starting a company: two or three proposed company names and a one-line description of the business
- Existing company: the company name or registration number
- The situation: what you need help with — incorporation, a secretary appointment or transfer, a filing, or a deadline you are not sure about
You do not need everything on that list to get started — a rough description of the situation is enough for a first reply. Once we understand what is needed, we confirm the scope and the fee upfront, before any work begins, so there is nothing to discover after the fact.
If you would like to see what we do before you write, the full service set is on the services page — and if you are registering a new Sdn Bhd, go straight to company incorporation.
Three dates worth checking before you message us
Most enquiries begin with a date that has already passed. According to the Companies Act 2016 (Act 777), these are the three that come up most often — if any of them is behind you, say so in your first message and we will tell you plainly what it takes to put right.
- The first company secretary must be appointed within 30 days of incorporation (s.236(2)).
- The annual return is due within 30 days of each anniversary of incorporation — not after an AGM, and not at financial year end (s.68(1)).
- A change of registered office, director or secretary must be notified to SSM within 14 days (s.46(3), s.58).
According to SSM’s published Table of Fees the annual return lodgement fee is RM150 for a private company, and Practice Directive 1/2017 adds a late-lodgement penalty of RM50 to RM200 — so a filing that is merely late is usually cheaper to put right than it feels.
